Vince is my favorite basketball player because he is very inthusiastic and he is known as the best dunker in N.B.A history. When Vince Carter started playing in the N.B.A. everybody new that he was gonna be a great player by the way they saw him play in college. The first team he played for was the Toronto Raptors with his cousin Tracy McGrady, He played SF which is small forward, he became a really good player. In 2000 Vince Carter entered the dunk contest as a rookie and right away from the first dunk he was telling people that he really wanted to win so he kept doing amazing dunks and got 45 points or higher every dunk. A the outcome was that he was the first rookie to every win a dunk contest. After a while from the dunk contest he hurt his knee and after every time he would be able to play he would hurt his knee, so in about a year or two he always had very bad knee problems and it took away his ability to dunk as well as he use to. So from then on he was still a good player but he really never dunk all the cool dunks as he use to but when he did dunk it was always the same dunk and it came to be known as his signature dunk which was a 360 with one hand. Many people now Vince Carter from his dunk in the 2000 Olympic Basketball game against France when he dunked right over a 7foot 2 inch player. From then on he was the star on the Raptors but that would end for Vince Carter #15 when he was traded to the New Jersey Nets in 2004.
